My favorite thing to price match at Walmart is my Pepsi and Coke items. Usually I go to Walmart for my grocery shopping and I just find the store that week that has the cheapest pops and will take the ad with me to price match it there. Their policy states you don't need the competitor's ad to get the price match but from experience I find it best to take the ad with me. Any items I am price matching, I will bring to the attention of the cashier first thing to get it out of the way. Some cashiers never question and some will question everything so I just bring the ads with me to make it easier.
If you get lucky enough sometimes to have a coupon that is worth more than the item you are buying, Walmart will apply the overage to the rest of your bill. So, it works out to be like getting paid to buy the item!
