Walgreens 101

Walgreens is a great place to shop if you watch for the sales! It has become one of my faves. Here are some basics of Walgreens. First here is the link to Walgreen's Coupon Policy. It is a good idea to check their policy from time to time or even better to print it and keep it with you.  If you still have any questions just Email me. I know it can be a little confusing at first but you will get the hang of it!

  • Register Rewards - These print out at the register after your purchase. The cashier will hand it to you and you can use this just like MONEY on your next purchase or next transaction. When using Register Rewards they cannot exceed the amount of your purchase. For example: if you are buying something that is $5.99 and you have a Register Reward which is worth $6.00 you will need to purchase an extra item or a "filler item" like a .50 cent candy bar to be able to bring the amount of the purchase up so you can use the Register Reward.

  • Coupons - Walgreens rule as of now is that you can use 1 coupon per item purchased. So if you are buying 5 items, you can use 5 coupons or, for example 2 register rewards and 3 coupons. Just remember coupons or register rewards cannot exceed the number of items you are buying. Sometimes you need to buy filler items which are cheap items you need to allow you to use the number of coupons and/or register rewards you have. For example: I am purchasing 1 walgreen razor, 2 boxes of kleenex, and 1 Reach dental floss. I have 4 items I am purchasing but I have 4 coupons and 1 Register Reward. I will need to purchase a cheap "filler" item to bring my purchase to 5 items so I can use my 5 total coupons and Register Reward.
